Fin août 2025 se tient la traditionnelle et non moins attendue gamescom par les joueurs et joueuses du monde entier. Durant 5 jours, l’industrie vidéoludique se rassemble dans la ville de Cologne afin de célébrer comme il se doit le 10e Art. Entre annonces, démos et événements, l’édition 2025 s’annonce comme historique. Mais le plus important demeure le jeu vidéo. Le plus grand salon occidental du jeu vidéo

La gamescom demeure le plus grand salon occidental du jeu vidéo et l’un des plus grands du monde derrière le ChinaJoy et le Taipei Game Show. L’événement taïwanais aurait rassemblé selon les organisateurs pas moins de 370 000 visiteurs lors de son édition 2025. De son côté, la gamescom peut se targuer d’avoir séduit 335 000 personnes l’année passée, et l'édition 2025 devrait encore battre des records. C’est le chemin que semble prendre l’Histoire.

Le salon allemand accueille notamment 11% d’exposants en plus pour un total de 60 pays représentés dont l’Asie du Sud-Est avec la montée en puissance de la Chine, de la Corée du Sud et la Thaïlande qui est un partenaire de choix pour la gamescom. La scène indépendante sera particulièrement représentée en 2025 en occupant la moitié du Hall 10.2 tandis que le Hall 8 sera ouvert au public afin de supporter l'afflux toujours plus grand de visiteurs.
